“Great place to stay”: Great hotel to spend the night. It has a friendly and helpfull staff and great accomodations. Even though there were reservations for two, they allowed us to add a third person (which was me) in a short time notice. I really liked the pillows. They were very comfortable and dont hurt your ears (like some others do). There is underground parking included, It's kind of cool since its a platform where you park your car and they just lower it to the basement. but I dont think it can fit more than 4 or 5 cars in that little basement, so if you are traveling in a big truck, there might be a problem. just fyi.
Night time activities are at hand in the nicest place of medellin witch is just a few blocks away. There are some malls as well at walking distance. Breakfast was buffet style but delicious. What i did not like was the TV channel options.. not good channels at all. they do offer a dvd player though. Overall, it was a great place.
“Stylish hotel”: This hotel is very stylish and the rooms spacious and comfortable. Nice restaurant / bar area downstairs with wifi so you can relax and enjoy a glass of wine before starting out on your day. The receptionists speak English and are very helpful. Service is great. The location is great for walking around El Poblado and felt safe. It's about a 15 minute walk to the train that takes you across town. Only downside is that the rooms are very dark with no natural light. There are windows, but they open out into the hallway so we kept them shut or people could see inside the room. Also the fitness center is rather small. Overall though, I would recommend this hotel.
“Swanky hotel, easy access to the city”: On researching my trip to Colombia, I noticed that Medellin was named the most innovative city in the world. I couldn't believe it! I was planning on only going to the beach, but realized I should stop over in Medellin first. I am so glad I did. I fell in love with this city. The Art Hotel was a complete shock. I couldn't believe I was in a so-called third world country! It really changed my view of what I was in for during my visit here. The details are impeccable, the service unmatched, and the location perfect for getting to the other parts of the city. In terms of the neighborhood, El Poblado felt super safe, even compared to some places I have found myself in Los Angeles! I would definitely go back to Medellin and stay at Art Hotel. Highly recommended!
“Best Hotel Staff Ever!!!”: Imagine u r in a foreign land and cannot speak the language.Hotel Staff were very helpfull and if i came for breakfast at 11am,they always waited for us.Hotel Staff arranged our taxis for us and made sure we were not overcharged.Great hotel to stay and rooms are very spacious.
“People make all the difference!”: I was at the Art Hotel last year and it was such an experience I expect from a boutique hotel. Small, Great Service and 2 blocks away from all the night life you want.. I enjoyed the morning breakfast and all the small amazingly beautiful towns (Guatepe and Jardin) I was able to visit. It would not have been possible with staff who were friendly as ever and did everything to help. It is walkable (10 min) to the bus station where you can catch buses to all the beautiful towns in Columbia. This was my first trip by myself, where language could have been a barrier but my broken spanish and some great hotel staff who helped to bridge the divide made this trip one of the best vacations.
“Modern, yet in concert with the area and city”: I didn't know what to expect about the "art" in hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The location was excellent--central to the historic area of the city. A/c worked well; room was very quiet. Staff helpful. Don't forget to change your large pesos at the front desk. No problem.
